Guide Dog Boarder

Major Objective - Watch and care for a guide dogs in training.

Responsibilities
1. Dogs must have your company throughout the day. May not be left alone more than three hours.
2. Provide an appropriate amount of daily stimulation for the dog.
3. Must be housed indoors.

Qualifications
1. Provide good clean home for dog.
2. Live within a reasonable distance from San Antonio.
3. Have transportation.
4. Complete in-home interview.

Training
1. Attend volunteer orientation.
2. Complete media release.

Time and Place
Dog boarding times will vary but are mainly in the evening, weekends and holidays.

Commitment
Provide a guide dog puppy with a home for a few hours to a few weeks.

Supervision
Direct supervision by the Director of Training and indirect supervision by Trainers.
