Client Host/Hostess


Major Objective

Provide meals and an at home experience for clients while in training at the residential training facility.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and deliver meals to the residential training facility for clients while in training.
2. Act as host/hostess to the client providing an at home comfortable experience.
3. Clean kitchen after food prep and clean dishes after meal.
4. Do not discuss dog training or dog qualities with client. Refer all questions to the training
staff.

Qualifications

1. Provide complete meal for yourself, clients, and Kennel Manager.
2. Good interpersonal skills.
3. Have transportation.

Training

1. Attend volunteer orientation.
2. Attend a Mission Tour.
2. Complete media release.
3. Complete Client Host training

Time and Place

Dinner should be ready between 5:00 and 6:00pm. The visit should last approximately two hours.

Commitment

Provide one to three meals for clients while in a 3 week training program. There will be approximately 6 to 8 clients per year.

Supervision

Direct supervision by the Volunteer Coordinator and indirect supervision by the trainer.
