Puppy Raiser Program
Each puppy and Puppy Raiser team is a vital part of our success in preparing puppies to be future guide dogs. We rely on dedicated volunteers called Puppy Raisers to raise and socialize puppies until they are 14 to 16 months of age. At that time, the puppy is returned to Guide Dogs of Texas, Inc. to enter the advanced training program.
We are always accepting applications for new Puppy Raisers. If you live within the following Texas counties; Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Caldwell, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hays, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, Travis, Wilson and you are home most of the day - Please Apply!
